Andrea Kimi Antonelli is a racing driver competing in the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship for Mercedes, car number 12. The Kid Who Skipped the Queue
Antonelli arrived in Formula 1 in 2025 with the shortest runway modern rules allow — a teenager promoted to Mercedes straight from the junior formulae, into the seat Hamilton vacated. The rookie year was solid rather than seismic: three podiums, a best of second, no wins. Everything that was promised arrived in 2026 instead.
